Pam Carter, LCSW Medical Social Worker, joined Noah’s Children as social worker in January 2012. She has much experience working with children with developmental delays, as well as working with adult hospice. She has extensive knowledge of navigating the special education system in schools and the Medicaid waiver process, skills that can help families considerably. Pam, who was a volunteer at Noah’s Children before joining our staff, helps families address their social and emotional needs and provides support during the disease process and bereavement.

Pam’s experience includes work in a domestic violence program, a preschool child development center, the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority’s intellectual disabilities unit, Infant and Toddler Connection of Virginia, and Blue Ridge Hospice.

Pam holds an undergraduate degree in social work from James Madison University and received her master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Her hobbies include doting on her two English bulldogs, rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers, camping and attending concerts.

Noah’s understands that taking care of a chronically ill child is like nothing else a family has been through and knows the different systems and specialty care that goes into it. Even our families that have been living this life for years can still benefit from our support and education.
