Children and adults often are overwhelmed by serious illness or loss and may exhibit varying degrees of confusion, anxiety and helplessness. Normal life often fades with the uncertainty and isolation these changes bring. We deliver bereavement services through a companioning model.

Noah’s Children’s trained staff:

Create safe environments for children, adolescents and adults to express their feelings and concerns

Facilitate age-appropriate discussions of the changes that are occurring

Strengthen coping skills

Decrease isolation with peer support from others who are facing similar challenges

Offer non-denominational spiritual support to children and adults

We offer services to meet the special needs of all family members, including:

  • Bereavement Newsletter – a bi-monthly publication filled with grieving information and coping tips.
  • Card and Anniversary Program – a customized card program where families receive loving reminders from Noah’s Children that they’ve not been forgotten during their difficult times.

Family Bereavement Camp  – a weekend retreat for families consisting of both structured and unstructured time where families can have fun together, as well as talk about and celebrate the child they lost.

  • Service of Remembrance – an annual gathering that celebrates those children who have passed away and honors the families and friends whose lives have been forever changed by the loss.
  • Referrals – to community resources and support groups specifically designed for grieving parents and siblings.
