Noah's Children: Kids Bedding Themes

There are many different types of kids bedding and baby bedding on the market today, and one of the most important aspects in choosing bedding for a child is theme consideration. You want it to match the child’s room, as well as be something that they are interested in. It should make their room and their bed always feel like a place they want to come to. A lot of times, it can be difficult enough to get a child to sleep in their own bed, so it is very important that they have bedding they enjoy. There are so many different themes on the market for children today, and it is always a bad thing to buy one, and either them not like it, or shortly thereafter the buyer runs across one that they believe the child would have liked better.

Themes for children range from basic color coordination to cartoon and story characters to different long-lasting themes that are gender specific like camouflage or flowers. It is good to know the child you are buying for well enough to be able to pick out bedding that they would pick for themselves.

Also, when considering purchasing kids bedding or baby bedding with a cartoon or movie theme, you want to keep in mind that the most commonly wanted kids bedding sets by children are what is current at the moment, but considering that, on average, at least one new big children’s movie comes out every six months, keeping your child up-to-date can prove exhausting and expensive.

nstead, a lot of times it is better to go with longer-running shows or cartoons- those that seem to last forever, such as Sesame Street or something similar. It is also a good idea to take into consideration not only your child’s current age and likes, but what they might be interested in later. It’s not always a good idea to buy Teletubbies themed bedding for a three year old, because shortly thereafter, they will no longer like this cartoon. Sometimes it is good to just go with a color pattern instead of a certain character or show. Many different color patterns are available, many times being bright reds, yellows, and blues for boys, or dark colors, even animal prints (this one is very gender-neutral). For girls there are pinks purples, and pastels, with flowers or without, and these are usually a good choice. There are so many popular cartoons, it may become hard to choose from, and currently the most popular are Spongebob Squarepants, Rugrats, etc.

In addition to many different cartoon themes, there are toy themes as well. Such as Barbie (which luckily is one that seems to last forever), Bratz, and more. What is interesting is that if you have yet to notice, many themes that disappeared into oblivion for a long time have reappeared, such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. There are many more like this, and it all depends on what your child is interested in at the time. Also, it is important to realize that some styles and themes are only available in certain bed sizes. For instance, if you have a 2 year old that you are putting into a full size bed, you might run into difficulty trying to locate bedding that is themed with Sesame Street.

When trying to decide what theme to buy for the child, it is best to ask the child what their three favorite colors are, and then what their three favorite cartoons are. This way, you have a wide variety to choose from. If you will not be giving the kids bedding or baby bedding as a gift, and there will be no surprise in it, it is also an excellent idea to let the child pick their own. This will almost always guarantee their satisfaction with it.

If parents, teachers, and other professionals discover a child's learning disability early and provide the right kind of help, it can give the child a chance to develop skills needed to lead a successful and productive life. A recent National Institutes of Health study showed that 67% of young students who were at risk for reading difficulties became average or above average readers after receiving help in the early grades.
